이 연구는 한국교육고용패널 자료를 활용해 한국 청년층의 취업눈높이와 노동시장 성과 간의 관계를 규명해보고자 한 것이다. 청년 실업율의 상승과 더불어 대기업과 중소기업의 이중 노동시장 구조가 엄존하는 한국사회에서 청년층에 취업눈높이를 낮추라는 사회 여론이나 정책적 기조는 20대 청년들의 희망인 직업세계 진입에 대한 꿈이나 목표를 억누르고 있는 것으로 보인다. 이러한 문제의식에서 출원한 본 연구는 직업탐색이론을 토대로 경제적 차원의 의중임금과 비경제적 차원의 취업선호도에 의거해 취업눈높이 변수를 설정하였다. 이 때, 비경제적 차원의 취업선호도는 학력, 학벌, 대기업, 수도권, 근무환경 등 15개 세부문항에 대한 응답 결과로 지수화 된다. 분석 결과, 청년층의 취업눈높이는 그들의 사회경제적 특성과 높은 상관성을 지니고 있음이 밝혀졌으며, 청년층 임금 초기치(7차)와 향후 4년간의 임금변화율에 대한 취업눈높이 및 사회경제적 변인의 영향도 확인되었다.

This study explores the characteristics on rising generation`s job preference in Korea and their relationships on outcome of labor market based on the data from Korean Education and Employment Panel(KEEP). Especially, this study critically focused on the job preference as the concept of the level of employment expectation. Under the Korea`s firmed dual labor market structures of conglomerates and small sized companies, the relevance of social policy or public opinion suppressing the hope, dream and goal about entering the successful job market of young generation tends to be weakened. In this regard, the study tries to construct a composite model that considers economical reservation wage and uneconomical job preference as level of employment expectation. At this point, uneconomical job preference are measured by higher education, location around capital area, big company, working environment, then sums up job preference to indexation. Next, the study analyzed with ANOVA method that the level of employment expectation for youth as well as social and economical characteristics are correspond each other. Second, based on Multi Growth Model(MGM), the study confirmed the effectiveness of social and economical factors as well as the level of employment expectation on the first wage (the 7th) and wage rate change for last 4 years.
