본 연구는 어린이집 알림장의 구성요소, 내용, 기록의 오류들과 기능을 분석하여 알림장으로 이루어지는 교사와 부모 간의 소통을 이해하고, 알림장 작성에 대한 교사교육의 시사점을 얻고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 어린이집 보육교사 229인이 작성한 알림장 607개를 수집하여 분석하였으며, 알림장 관련 선행연구(김민정, 김갑순, 2012)의 범주에 따른 빈도 분석, 원장 6인, 보육교사 5인, 부모 6인과 반구조화된 면담 진행 후 연구 결과의 타당성에 대해 6인의 영유아교육전문가에게 심의를 받았다. 연구결과, 첫째, 알림장의 구성요소는 정량적인 기록(형식적 정보, 영유아의 건강 및 영양)과 정성적인 기록(영유아의 생활경험, 전달사항)으로 구분되었다. 정성적 기록의 주된 내용은 영유아의 건강과 기분, 안전사고, 영유아의 영양, 어린이집 적응, 놀이와 활동, 사회성(또래와 교사 간의 일일에피소드에 대한 내용), 부모의 관심사, 도움 요청으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교사의 알림장 작성 시 나타나는 오류는 잘못된 문법, 오해의 소통, 공문서의 사문서화, 권리보호의 실수가 발견되었다. 셋째, 알림장은 순기능과 역기능의 분석 결과, 교사-부모 간 신뢰 형성, 다른 업무의 자원으로의 활용, 부모교육과 육아지원의 장으로서의 순기능이 있었다. 반면, 부모에게 바로 노출되는 교사의 알림장 작성의 실수, 알림장을 통하여 교사에게 직접 전달되는 부모의 무리한 요구, 문자만으로 소통되는 한계 등의 역기능이 있었다.

This study aims to gain insight into teacher-education regarding writing daily reports and to understand teacher-parent communication by analyzing components, contents, and errors of daily reports in day care centers. For this study, 607 daily reports written by 229 teachers and parents were selected. These reports were analyzed with frequency statistics based on model of antecedent research. Semi-structure interviews were conducted with 6 principals, 5 teachers and 6 parents. Research findings were based on conference by 6 experts. Results are as follows. Firstly, daily reports were composed 2 major parts : quantitative recoding part(formal info about children’s health and nourishment) and qualitative narration part(children’s life experiences, messages to parents). Narration writings were mainly about children’s health and feelings, safety accidents, nourishment, adaptation to day care center, play and activities, socialization (episodes with peers and teachers), interests and requests for help of parents. Secondly, the errors from the teacher writing daily reports were found. They included grammatical errors, miscommunication, mishandling of official documents as private documents, and mistakes on protection of children’s rights. Thirdly, the proper functions and adverse functions of circular notice were analyzed. The proper functions were found as the development of teacher-parent trust, the utilization of documents as a resource for other tasks, and the taking a role of parent-education and day care support. Otherwise, the negative functions were found as the mistake of writings by teachers which would be exposed to parents, unreasonable requests of parents which would be sent to teachers directly, and the limit of communication only with written language.
