본 연구에서는 학문 분야별 학술 논문 텍스트의 인용 양상의 차이를 밝힘으로써 학술 텍스트의 장르적 특성을 명확히 하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 국어학 분야와 생명공학 분야의 학술 논문 텍스트를 분석한 결과 인용문의 유형 및 인용 동사의 사용에서 매우 뚜렷한 차이를 볼 수 있었다. 이는 학문 분야에 따라 동일한 장르의 텍스트라고 하여도 그 수사적 양상이 다름을 나타내는 것이며, 이러한 차이는 각 분야마다 학술적 담화를 구성하는 메커니즘이 다르기 때문이다. 이는 결국 각 전공 분야에서 무엇을 지식으로 보는가와 같은 인식론의 차이로 귀결된다.

This study tried to clarify the genre characteristics of academic texts by identifying differences in the citation patterns shown in academic texts of each disciplinary. For this purpose, analysis on the texts of academic papers in Korean language studies and biotechnology fields were conducted, and the result showed that there were significant differences in the use of citation types and reporting verbs. This is because the rhetorical aspects of texts of the same genre are different depending on the disciplinary and the variation is due to the different mechanism of academic discourse in each field. This results in a difference of epistemology such as what they consider as knowledge in each their academic communities.
