본 연구는 기후변화 위험인식과 친환경 행동 실천 여부를 조사하고 두 변수 사이의 관계를 알아보고자 성신여자대학교 재학생 192명을 대상으로 설문조사를 진행하였다. 분석 결과, 기후변화가 걱정된다는 응답자는 86.2%로 나타났다. 기후변화 위험인식의 경우 응답자의 60.6%는 기후변화가 개인에게 심각한 영향을 미친다고 하였으며, 51.1%는 지역주민, 71.8%는 한국 사람들, 89.4%는 세계 빈민층, 97.3%는 미래세대라고 답하였다. 미국 선행조사와 이 결과를 비교하였을 때, 한국 응답자의 기후변화 위험인식과 친환경 행동 실천 비율이 미국에 비해 높게 나타나는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 차이는 한국 응답자가 기후변화의 단편적인 정보만을 제공받기 때문으로 판단된다. 또한 상관분석을 통해 기후변화에 대한 위험인식과 친환경 행동이 통계적으로 유의한 관련이 있음을 확인할 수 있었고, 기후변화 위험인식 정도의 차이가 친환경 행동 실천 여부에 영향을 준 것으로 보인다. 이 연구를 통해 기후변화 관련 정책의 관심과 적극적인 기후변화 대응행동을 향상시키기 위해서 기후변화 위험인식에 대한 교육 및 홍보가 수반되어야 할 것으로 보인다.

This study conducted a survey of 192 students enrolled in Sungshin Women's University to investigate the climate change risk perception and eco-friendly behavior and the relationship between the two variables. The analysis showed that 86.2% of the respondents were worried about climate change. In the case of climate change risk perception, 60.6% of respondents said climate change has a serious impact on individuals, 51.1% said local residents, 71.8% said Koreans, 89.4% said the future generation. Comparing the results with the U.S. survey, Korean respondents’ climate change risk perception and the practice rate of eco-friendly behavior were higher than the U.S. Also, a correlation analysis has demonstrated that there is a significant correlation between climate change risk perception and eco-friendly behavior. Therefore, this difference in climate change risk perception seems to have affected the implementation of eco-friendly behavior. Through this study, it is expected that the interest of climate change policy and the active climate change action should be accompanied by education and promotion of the climate change risks perception.
