본 연구에서는 교섭력 틀 안에서 다국적기업이 합작투자에 공헌하는 자원유형과 초기지분수준이 향후 지분증가에 주는 영향을 살펴보았다. 1996년말까지 수행된 한국기업의 해외합작투자를 대상으로 합작투자 지분변화에 영향을 미치는 요인을 로지스틱 회귀분석을 통해 검증하였다. 본 연구 결과에 의하면 다수지분자일수록 지분이 증가되는 경향을 보여 주었다. 한편 자원유형별로는 기술 및 재무능력을 보유한 국내업체들의 지분이 증가되는 경향이 강함을 알 수 있었다. 그리고 마케팅 능력과 해외사업경험은 지분증가에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다.

This study examined the impact of type of contributed resources and initial ownership position of Korean overseas joint ventures on the change in equity ownership in the bargaining power perspective. By employing logistic regression model, it tested the impact of Korean parent companies` variables on the increase in the ownership of Korean overseas joint ventures as of the end of 1996. This study found that Korean firms with majority ownership at the initial stage have a greater tendency to increase their ownership in the future. In addition, in terms of type of resources Korean parent companies contributed, firms with technological and financial capabilities have a greater propensity to increase their ownership. However, marketing capability and international experience do not affect the change in ownership.
