The acoustics experiment conducted in this article aims at comparing and analysing the plosive and affricate of Korean-Chinese, and their assocation with the Chinese tones. The plosive and affricate of Chinese have an opposition in aspirated sound and unaspirated sound. whereas in Korean plosive and affricate is opposed in lenis, fortis and aspirated sound, however neither of them has an opposition in voice sound and voiceless sound. Through VOT comparison we can see that the fortis in Korean is very much similar to the unaspirated sound in Chinese; the lenis in Korean is an in between of Chinese`s aspirated sound and unaspirated sound. By comparing the duration of aspiration it shows that the intensity of aspirated sound in both Chinese and Korean has no significant difference. Korean when listened to the unaspirated sound in Chinese, according to the differentiate it into lenis and fortis. This is a result of the effect of fundamental frequency in the different tones, and not that the consonant of Chinese really does exist acoustics characteristics of lenis and fortis. Chinese students understands Korean`s relate the opposition of lenis and fortis as a deviation fundamental frequency, and they between lenis and aspirated sound in Korean to that of unaspirated sound and aspirated sound in Chinese. That is why Chinese students encounter difficult in pronouncing lenis and fortis.
