본 연구는 커뮤니티 의식과 관련된 연구를 바탕으로 주민자치활동이 커뮤니티 의식 형성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 관한 것이다. 주민자치활동의 유형구분에 따라 대상지를 선정하고, 커뮤니티 의식 변인과 커뮤니티 의식에 영향을 미치는 변인을 추출하여 자료를 수집하였다. 이를 통해 다중회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 주민자치활동 관련 변인이 커뮤니티 의식에 높은 설명력을 가지고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 대상지별 주민자치활동의 특성에 따라 커뮤니티 의식 관련 요인에 유의미하게 혹은 그렇지 않은 것으로 나타났다.

This research aims to study on how resident self-help activities affect the community sense. We choose the sample area by type of resident self-help activities, and variables are about community and its correlated factors. Results of the multiple regression analysis say that resident self-help activities have high explanation rate to the community sense. Furthermore, characteristics of resident self-help activities in each sample area, affect the sense of community as we expected. The relationship between them is positive.
