The purpose of this study was to assess the pre-installation full PACS, user satisfaction and education. The data was collected by interviewing 346 users who underwent the PACS at Seoul National University Hospital. The interview ran from May 2 to June 20, 2001. The items were of the users general characteristic, understanding of the PACS and the difference benefit of the PACS and film based system. Results of users noticed of understanding of the PACS, estimation and use of an image in the PACS. A prefer PACS to film based system. PACS education went to half charged of training and non-training. The user want to participate in the post-education(38%), education time 2 hours and 2 times in the year. The time required to obtain the images within 1 minute and want to 19inch monitor. PACS installation most consideration were of image of quality, transferred the image, satisfaction of patient, keeping and storage, safety of system usefulness of clinic and convenience.
