Nowadays the theory of school education is turning to the constructivism that has been discussed enthusiastically since 1990. Korea is no exception. Constructive trend is reflected a lot in the 7th curriculum and have big effects on the whole korean education. This study is about what constructivism is, how constructivism is reflected in seventh curriculum and what are effective measures to this trend that constructivism is accepted much in educational world. Constructivism that are based on Epistemology of Piaget and Vygotsky regards knowledges and meaning as learner`s intrinsic construction not as the mere reflection or copy of reality. Therefore the process of learning -how to learn-is more important than the content of knowledge-what to know- in the view of constructivism. That is knowledge is constructed actively by perception or communication of subject to be able to think, not acquired passively. The 7th curriculum and Korean curriculum that are applied to Korean education gradually contain constructive trends like following. First, learner-centered and not made, making curriculum that is the most important feature of the seventh one is pursued. Second, higher thinking power like critical and creative thinking is regarded as of great importance. Third to emphasize the process and activity centered class and to give procedural knowledge importance are in accordance with the constructivism. Fourth, individualized teaching and learner initiated learning are important. Fifth, cooperative learning by students` interaction is essential. Sixth, constructive trend must be reflected in the process of assessment. In accordance with these changes, Korean teachers must take measures like following. First, the conversion of thought about knowledge, learning, teaching and assessment is needed. Second, learner, process and activity centered teaching must be encouraged. Third, cooperative learning by students` interaction must be utilized. Fourth, Korean teachers help students to have the ability to create knowledge and think highly. Fifth, individualized learning system using technological mechanism like computer must be stressed. Sixth, make the most use of performance assessment. Seventh, change the perception of the teacher`s role. This study start from the problem, what and how to teach and how to evaluate, to accomplish the aim of Korean education that is the improvement of creative language performance ability, in the Korean teacher`s shoes. In the process of study, I can know the fact that not only general outline of the seventh curriculum but Korean curriculum reflects or at least correspond to constructive trends being perceived as new paradigm in the educational world.
