We deal with the problem in which Capacity Constraint Resource comprises multiple types of facilities. First, we propose a new dynamic DBR operation model which considers not only the production capacity of each type, but also the quantity of WIP in the rope buffer. Second, we suggest a heuristics method of determining the rope buffer size using computer simulation. A case study of wafer manufacturing line is introduced to demonstrate the improved performance of the proposed methods
