이 글에서는 상에 대한 논의가 문장 차원에서 이루어져야 한다는 점에 대해 논의하였다. 특히 부사어나 논항 등이 문장 차원에서의 상 해석과 직접적으로 관련된다는 점에 대해 중점적으로 논의하였다. 그리고 개별 문장에서 상 의미를 해석하기 위해서는 이들 문장 성분들이 상 해석에 관여하는 현상을 체계화하여 규칙으로 설정할 필요가 있다는 점에 대해서도 논의하였다. 이러한 논의 과정을 통해 그동안 주장했던 것과 달리, 즉 상 해석을 동사와 보조동사 구성으로 한정해서 해석하려 해왔던 것과 달리 상 해석은 문장 차원에서 다루어져야 한다는 점이 보다 분명하게 밝혀지게 되었다.

In this paper, it is discussed that aspectual interpretation should be done in sentence level as well. Especially the fact that adjuncts and arguments are directly connected to the aspectual interpretation is studied deeply. Furthermore, we focus on following thought. That is, to interpret the aspectual meaning of a particular sentence, the aspectual interpretation rule is needed. Through this the fact that the aspectual interpretation must be done in sentence level can be clarified very well in contrast with a previous proposals.
