This paper explores the uses of the spatialization metaphors in texts. texts provide excellent data for finding the conceptualization of Korean, because the content is colloquial and present real-life use of the language. The spatialization metaphors are analysed by 3 image schema, for examples, MOVEMENT, CONTAINER, and VERTICAL SCALE schema. These schema are so basic in understanding various kinds of events in terms of SPACE concept. In this research, we can find general cognitive process by which language users understand abstract concepts in terms of concrete concept. Also, we can find that spatialization metaphors are based on physical experiences of language users. Finally we can see the universality of the spatialization and the universal validity of the grammaticalization theory.
