The examination is developed with problems that will require a variety of approaches and methodologies including design, analysis, application and operations. Some problems may require knowledge of engineering economics, probability and statistics, and operations research techniques. The purpose of the research lies in developing methods of job analysis and procedure models for establishment of a system that efficiently links education, training and qualification by understanding the job analysis. The purpose also lies in developing basic materials for vocational education and training course as well as developing guidelines for examination questions through job analysis on plant engineering in the field. The plant engineering examination is a breadth and depth examination. This means that all examines work the breadth exam and one of the three depth exams. The three areas covered in the plant engineering examination are Maintenance and Machine Design, and Thermal and Fluids Systems. The breadth exam contains questions from these three areas of plant and mechanical engineering. The depth exams focus more closely on a single area of practice in plant and mechanical engineering
