이 글은 1960년대 이후 영미 철학 관린 번역의 현황을 통계 자료를 바탕으로 분석하여 그 문제점을 지적하고 올바른 번역 방향을 제시하는 것을 목교로 한다. 주요 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. (1) 영미 철학의 번역서는 1980년대에 폭발적으로 증가했지만 90년대 이후에는 증가세가 둔화되었다. 전체적인 출판 시장의 불황과 저서의 증가 때문인 듯하다. (2) 학술 논문의 대강이 되는 주요 철학자들의 기던 저서들이 번역되어 있지 않다. (3) 입문서의 번역 편중이 심하다. 특히 논문집의 번역이 미비하다. (4) 용어 및 인명의 교준화가 시급하다. (5) 정부 및 학회 차일의 대책 마린이 필요하다.

Summary: This paper aims to point out the issues of translation of Anglo-American philosophy based on the data of translation in Korea since 1960, and propose the correct directions of translation. I conclude as follows: (1) The translations were increased rapidly in 1980s, but slowdowned since 1990s because the publication market was depressed and the one`s writings were increased instead of translations. (2) The principal writings of main philosophers were not be translated. (3) The translations centered on introductory books and the anthologies hardly translated. (4) The standards of translated terms and names are urgent. (5) It takes the supports of government and philosophical society.
