TPM activities in the enterprises are to aim to strengthen price competitiveness through productivity improvement and reducing manufacturing costs. The survey done on TPM activities in Incheon area shows very poor contrasting results on SME comparing to big enterprises. Survey results reveal as follows : For basic step, They constructed TPM infrastructure by means of 5S activities, For next step, They adopt concrete practical activities such as simplification of work, goal management and standardization of field work and office work procedure. Practical maintenance activities and preventive maintenance measures are not utilized and they are still in early stage.
