판소리와 연관되어 변모를 거친 19세기 <심청전>의 재현성을 논의하기 위해 허흥식 소장본 「심청가」와 완판41장본 「심청가」를 선별하여 분석하였다. <심청전>의 이본은 판소리의 음악적 변모 경향성과 관계를 맺으면서 전개되었고, 새로운 이본들은 서술자의 성향과 재현 양식에서 전대 이본들과 차이점을 뚜렷하게 보이면서 변화하였다. 이것은 음악의 일방적 영향으로 이루어진 것은 아니었다. 소설 양식과 음악적 양식이 융화되면서 연극적 성향, 구체적 이미지를 매개로 한 구성을 강화해 온 것으로 보인다. <심청전> 서술자와 재현양식의 결합은 여성 재현 성향과 밀접한 관련을 지녔다. 허흥식 소장본의 감상적(感傷的) 서술자는 정서를 드러내는 인물화 경향을 보이며, 인물과 사건 재현 스타일 역시 정서적 공감을 극대화하는 양식을 갖추었다. 그런데 인물의 성별(性別)에 따라 서술이 차별화되어 있어 정서적 재현이 젠더 성향을 띠고 있음을 발견할 수 있었다. 이에 비해 완판 41장본에서는 서술자가 재현대상과 거리를 형성하면서 윤리적 감찰자로서 기능하였다. 또한 재현은 인물의 동선(動線)을 부각시키며 연극적(演劇的) 성향을 부각시켰다. 재현대상이 서술자의 어조와 분리되는 현상이 일어나면서 서술자의 의지와 별개로 여성의 원망(願望)이 드러날 수 있는 통로가 마련되었던 것이다.

This study is an examination on the changes in 19th century . It is analyzed based on Hur`s 「Shimchung ga 沈淸歌」 and 41-leaf jeonju 全州 version 「Shimchung ga」. Variations of the novel had shared the musical transformational tendency of Pansori. There are apparent distinctions in terms of narrator`s inclination and the style of representationcomparing to the precedent novels. It is not just from one-sided influence of music. Dramatized elements were reinforced through reconciliation the styles of novel and music. The narrator of is has close connection with women representations. The Hur`s sentimental narrator has manly emotions. The characters and plot maximized emotional sympathy. However, the narrations have distinctions by genders, emotional representations tend to have gender dispositions. The other side, 41-leaf jeonju version`s narrator functioned as a moral inspector who had distance to the representations of objects. And the representation had been dramatized by highlighting characters` acts-lines. Since the representations of objects are separated from narrator`s tone, a pathway to depict women`s hopes could be created apart from narrator`s will.
