e-Learning이란 인터넷을 기반으로 상호작용을 극대화함으로써 분산형의 열린 학습 공간을 추구하는 교육 유형으로, 전통적 교육 방식인 교수자 중심의 교육에서 벗어나 학습자 중심 교육을 가능하게 하는 교육 체제라는 점에서 변화된 교육 환경에서 특별한 주목을 받고 있다. 학습자의 ``문학 활동``이 문학교육의 근간이 되어야 한다는 점을 고려할 때, e-Learning 체제를 통해 문학 활동이 학습자의 자기주도성을 바탕으로 수행될 수 있다면, 문학교육에서 역시 e-Learning은 매력적인 교수-학습 체제로 작용할 수 있다. 그러나 현재의 e-Learning 체제에서 문학교육, 특히 시교육은 오프라인 학습의 교수-학습 내용을 온라인으로 교재화하는 정도에 그침으로써 e-Learning 체제의 교육적 가치를 충분히 부각시키지 못하고 있다. e-Learning의 기반이 되는 디지털 환경의 참여적 특성을 극대화하기 위해 도입된 ``스토리텔링형`` 콘텐츠의 경우에도, 학습자로 하여금 텍스트의 향유 활동에 몰입하게 하기보다는 과제의 해결 활동에 몰입하게 하는 양상으로 구현되고 있다. 시교육을 위한 e-Learning 체제가, 학습자들로 하여금 텍스트를 이해의 대상이 아닌 체험의 대상으로 받아들이게 하고 텍스트 향유 과정에 적극적으로 참여하게 하기 위해서는 콘텐츠의 내용 차원 및 상호작용 차원에서의 세심한 설계가 요구된다. 내용 차원에서는 학습 주제의 성격에 부합하는 스토리텔링형 콘텐츠의 설계를 통해 학습자의 내러티브적 사고를 돕고, 개방적 활동 및 단계적 활동, 적절한 하이퍼텍스트를 제공함으로써 텍스트에 대한 창조적 수용을 유도할 수 있다. 상호작용 차원에서는 학습 주제와 심미적, 기능적으로 조화됨으로써 학습 내용에 대한 직관적 수용을 지원하는 UI 설계를 통해 학습자들로 하여금 콘텐츠의 학습 과정에 적극적으로 참여하고 몰입하게 하고, 게시판 및 토론방 등의 요소를 설계에 적극 고려함으로써 학습자들 사이의 상호작용을 강화할 필요가 있다.

E-Learning is kind of lecturing system which is based on the internet, and it provides a diversified and classified virtual learning opportunity by increasing interactions between students and lecturers. Recently, e-Learning has been a booming issue in Korean education. It is because educational circumstances are rapidly changing and e-Learning makes it possible to perform student centered education and it can overcome the drawbacks of traditional teaching system which empathize the role of lecturer over the role of the students. Contrary to those traditional philosophy, we strongly believe that students should play a key role in learning activities. In this paper, we are specifically concerned with literary activities, especially poetry education. If we were able to lead students to perform literary activities by themselves, e-Learning could be one of the most attractive education system in literary education. However, we have faced some difficulties in applying this system to literary education-especially poetry education, and we have experienced a limitation in terms of translating the contents of teaching and learning in traditional education system to that of a student-centered learning system, Therefore, the educational worth of e-Learning system has not been embraced until now. Recently, so-called concept of story-telling contents, which empathizes the problem-solving process has been widely introduced to maximize the interactive characteristics of on-line education. However, it also has the possibility that students may feel uncomfortable with this new method. Very careful design of contents and interaction activities in e-Learning system should be considered to assist students in enjoying the understanding of poetry actively, and to have the students feel the poetry content as part of the overall literary experience. In this paper, we will show that the concept of story-telling contents may help students to think narratively, and induce the creative understanding of literature. In addition, it is possible to lead students to become immersed in the content of poetry through the technology of UI, which supports the intuitive perception, and is consistent with the objective of study.
