풍자와 패러디는 현대시에 있어서 중요한 방법적 양식이다. 패러디는 사회적 장르이다. 따라서 패러디가 성행하고 있고 어떤 양상으로 표출되고 있는가를 살피는 것은 그 시대의 현상과 직면하는 것이고 조롱의 대상을 만나는 것이다. 다시 말해 사회의 문제점과 개선해야 할 주체를 인식하는 것임으로, 패러디는 근본적으로 폭로의 양식이다. 원작을 변형하고 과장해 익살과 풍자로 재창조한 패러디는 이제 우리사회에서 대중장르의 하나로 안착했다. 패러디는 익히 알고 있는 낯익은 형식을 모방하여 기존이데올로기를 강화시키거나, 부분적 변용을 통해 기존의 낡은 이념을 우회적으로 풍자, 비판함으로서 계층 상호간의 사회적 시야를 공유할 수 있는 방법이다. 패러디는 현실 집단사회에 초점이 놓여있고, 상층집단의 관습적으로 오랫동안 축적되어온 이데올로기나 권위와 불합리의 상투적 허실을 풍자하게 된다. 패러디는 기존의 작품을 모방하되, 모반을 시도한다. 패러디는 정전(canon)이 갖고 있는 권위 속에 존재하는 불합리에 도전하고 이를 해체하는 것을 지향하기 때문에 패러디는 일종의 반추의 미학이다. 김영승시의 주된 기법은 풍자에 의존한 패러디다. 시인이 시적 전략(poetic strategy)으로 선택한 패러디는 당대의 억압들과 싸운 자아의 싸움의 흔적들과 증언이며, 반성이고, 동시에 그것을 넘어서서 나아가려는 주체의 욕망의 구현의 한형식이다. 즉 현실에 대한 냉철한 객관적 인식을 견지하는 하나의 방법이다. 그의 시는 권위, 무지, 부르주아를 패러디를 통해 풍자하고 있다. 그의 언어는 노골적이고 거칠다. 이는 금기를 해체시키려는 전략적 글쓰기이며, 또한 작가내면에 억압되어 있는 것을 대리표상으로 한 글쓰기 전략이라 할 수 있다. 김영승에게 패러디는 단순한 수사학이 아니라 파괴되어가는 현대인의 인간성을 제시할 수 있는 전략적 방법이자 정신이다.타락한 방법으로만 타락한 현실을 담을 수밖에 없다는 루카치의 말처럼, 뒤틀린 현실은 뒤틀린 속어와 욕설에 담아 풍자를 시도하고 있다. 조소와 냉소성을 띄고 있는 패러디는 뒤틀려 있는 인간과 현실을 담아내기에 안성맞춤이었던 것이다. 패러디 시학은 변화와 위기에서 형성된 의심의 해석학이다. 김영승의 패러디 전략은 제도와 권력, 성과 돈, 관습과 권위의 지배논리로부터 벗어나기 위한 글쓰기이며, 자신을 옭아매고 있는 심리적 압박으로부터 벗어나 자유를 꿈꾸는 글쓰기이다.

Parody that modifies and exaggerates the original work with humor and satire became a popular genre nowadays. Parody is a method to share social insight between classes by enforcing the existing ideology through imitating familiar styles or by criticizing the old ideologies through partial adaptation. Parody focuses on the current community and criticizes the customarily accumulated ideology, authority and unreasonable formality of the upper classes. Parody tries to revolt while imitating the existing works. It challenges to the absurdity of the authority that canon has and orients to dissemble it. Therefore, it is a kind of aesthetics of reflection. The major technique that Kim Young-seung used in his poems is parody depending on the satire. The parody that the poet se-lected as a poetic strategy is the trace and testimony of the fight between the self and the contemporary suppressions. At the same time, it is a style to show the desire of the subject who wants to go beyond this. In other words, it is a method to keep the cool and objective perception on the reality. It is the writing dreaming of freedom from the psychological oppression that ties himself.
