이 글은 한국의 수많은 사회적 모순들 가운데 매우 중요한 비정규직 노동의 문제와 긴밀히 관련된 ``비정규직 대학교수``(이하 ``비정규직 교수``라 약칭)의 경제적 현실과 철학적 의식의 문제를 분석하고, 대학교육의 당당한 주체인 ``비정규직 교수``의 당면한 삶의 문제들을 지극히 개인적 차원이 아니라 공공의 사회적 차원에서 해결할 수 있는 실천적 대안을 모색하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 비정규직 교수는 신자유주의 세계화라는 흐름 속에서 경제적으로 매우 어려운 비자립적인 존재며 의식적으로 기형적인 노예의식을 지닌 존재다. 객관적인 측면에서 비정규직 교수가 대학 강의만으로 살아갈 수 없다는 점으로 볼 때 분명히 비정규직 교수는 경제적으로 비자립적인 존재다. 그리고 의식의 측면에서 볼 때 비정규직 교수는 우월의식과 노예의식을 함께 지니고 있다. 비정규직 교수 문제를 해결하기 위해서는 가장 낮은 수준인 시간당 강의료 인상부터 정규직 대학교수와의 비교에서 동일노동 동일임금 요구, 4대 보험의 적용, 교원에 관한 제반 교육법 및 고등교육법 개정, 비정규직 교수 문제에 대한 특별법 제정, 정규직 대학교수 충원률 확대, 헌법소원 등에 이르기까지 다양한 대안을 모색할 수 있다. 그런데 무엇보다 비정규직 교수 문제는 개인 차원의 문제가 아니라 사회 차원의 문제라는 사실을 정확히 인식하는 것이 필요하다. 그리고 비정규직 교수가 대학에서 발생하는 구체적인 차별 문제에서 출발해서, 그 문제에 대해 철학적으로 성찰하고 대안을 적극적으로 모색하며, 사회적으로 문제를 해결하려고 치열하게 실천하는 모습은 반드시 필요하다. 그런데 선행되어야 할 것은 비정규직 교수에 대한 정확한 실태 조사를 통해 정확한 계급분석과 각종 문제점 등을 파악하는 일이다. 비정규직 교수의 실태에 대한 정확한 조사를 바탕으로 각종 문제점들에 대한 구체적인 해결을 적극적으로 모색해야 한다. 그래야 비정규직 교수 문제에 대한 해결 방법도 구체적으로 제시할 수 있을 것이다.

This thesis is written for the purpose of analyzing and synthesizing on the problems of irregular professors in the Korea. Today the globalization of new liberalism is strengthening the system in the Korea. Therefore they are driven to the wall. In particular economically they are dependent beings. And also they have slave`s senses. But subjectively they don`t want to acknowledge the facts. The key of problems is not an individual but a society. Irregular professors give a lecture to students per an one time in the university(or college). But they can not make living on their income. Regular professors are well-off, but irregular professors ill-off. It is a discrimination in employment. Because their lectures are the very same, but their incomes are very different. If this discrimination is continuous, the development of education will be impossible. For the human rights, we must get rid of the discrimination between regular professors and irregular professors. And concretely we must consider a counterplan. In other words we must have an alternative plan. For example, from their higher income to security of law as a lecturer. Above all for irregular professors` rights we must amend the law of higher education. In fact we can not know the economic states of irregulars, because up to date there is not exactly investigations about them. So concretely we must take a census of their economic states. And we must investigate their class. After this investigations, concretely we will have an alternative plan. This alternative plan will be based on the equality, that is fundamental rights of human.
