이 글에서는 각자의 자기됨을 보존하는 사회를 구축하기 위해 인간은 어떤 방식으로 존재해야 하는가의 문제를 다룬다. 이를 위해 야스퍼스 철학의 실존 개념을 바탕으로 사회적 실존의 개념을 정립함으로써 사회적 조건의 변혁을 지향하는 인간에 대한 새로운 개념을 정립한다. 사회의 현존재적 조건은 실존을 가능하게 하는 기반이기는 하지만 사회구성원의 실존됨을 제한하는 결과를 가져온다. 그렇기 때문에 우리에게는 인간을 현존재 차원으로 끌어내리는 사회적 조건과 지속적으로 싸우면서 자신의 자기됨을 상실하지 않을 수 있는 인간형이 요구된다. 현존재적 차원에 머물러서는 현존재적 조건을 극복할 수 없기 때문에 이러한 인간형은 현존재적 차원을 넘어서는 실존이어야 하고 실존 중에서도 사회구성원의 실존됨을 방해하는 조건과의 투쟁을 선택하는 실존 즉, 사회적 실존이어야 한다. 사회적 실존은 사회구성원의 실존됨을 방해하는 현존재적 조건의 구속을 극복하기 위한 지향적 실천을 하는 실존이다. 즉 자신의 실존됨이 타자의 실존됨과 유관하다는 것을 받아들여서 인간의 본래적 존재방식을 위협하는 현존재적 조건을 비판적으로 극복해나가면서 실존됨을 가능하게 하는 조건 즉, 본래적 자기로 살 수 있는 바탕이 되는 현존재적 조건의 실현을 위해 실천하는 실존이다. 야스퍼스의 실존은 한계상황을 한계상황으로 수용함으로써 보편적 감수성을 가질 수 있고 사랑하면서의 투쟁인 교제를 하며 사회적 행위를 하지 않음으로 인한 죄책 때문에 사회적 행위를 선택할 수 있기 때문에 사회적 실존으로 해석될 수 있다. 사회적 실존으로서 사회를 비판하고 사회를 변혁하는 운동을 해야만 현존재적 조건과의 투쟁이 그 현존재적 조건에서 이득을 보는 자와의 투쟁으로 환원되지 않도록 할 수 있다. 그리고 사회구성원의 실존됨을 방해하는 조건에 대한 생산적인 분노를 바탕으로 실존됨을 방해하는 현존재적 조건과 투쟁하면서도 자신의 행복을 담보잡히지 않는 건강한 사회운동을 지속할 수 있다. 사회구성원 각자가 사회적 실존이 되고자 노력하면서 어떤 선택이 전체 사회구성원의 자기됨을 방해하지 않는가 하는 고민을 하고 그 고민 속에서 사회제도를 구축해나갈 때 그 사회제도의 규정력이 사회구성원의 실존됨을 방해하지 않는 방향으로 발휘되도록 할 수 있다.

The purpose of this paper is to establish the concept of `Social Existenz` which is rooted on the concept of Existenz in Jaspers`s philosophy. People who are based on the concept of `solitary Exisitenz` have the difficulty in solving social problems, and moreover `Being Existenz` of solitary Exisitenz, in itself, can not be fully fulfilled. This is why we need the concept of `Social Existenz`. Unlike `solitary Exisitenz`, Social Existenz makes efforts to reform existent social conditions (Daseinsordnung) that prevent the `being Existenz of social member`. It is `Social Existenz` that makes efforts to accomplish the existential social condition, not to prevent the `being Existenz of social member` and which makes a room for `being Existenz of social member` Social Existenz makes relation of social members, not in a dimension of existence (Daseinsdimension) but in a dimension of Existenz (Existenzdimension). Social Existenz is a type of actionist who has an ability not to reduce `struggle with existent social conditions that prevent being Existenz of social members` to `struggle for benefit in existent social conditions`. Man as social Existenz accepts the following reality: (1)the reality that has to accept necessity of social conditions, (2)the reality that has no choice but to debilitate the binding power of social conditions which prevent being Existenz of social members. Man as social Existenz also accepts the fact that perfect world order is not possible, and thus man as social Existenz makes efforts to establish social orders that have room for existential communication weakening binding power of existent social conditions. Man as social Existenz, as separated and relational self that sustain his/her own uniqueness and simultaneously can communicate with others, can attain solidarity without losing his/her own identity and by doing Loving Struggle. In order to reinforce the power of social movement`s execution, it is necessary that people who lead social movement should attain existential self-awareness and also they should become social Existenz. If the subject of social movement will not be social Existenz, then his/her criticism about social structure will be degraded to struggle for benefit with vested right owners in a dimension of existence. In the case of social criticism that is not based on existential self-awareness, it has a danger that the subject of criticism biasedly regards all problems as others` problem, and that the necessity of his/her self-revolution is disregarded. The destructive anger that is based on the surplus of self-consciousness defines the object of criticism as enemy and excludes it, and finally, brings forth only self-satisfactory practice(praxis). It is not helpful to achieve desirable social conditions that can encourage `being of Existenz` of social members. The productive indignation means the indignation which is based on care about others` not being able to be Existenz. People who has a productive indignation feel resentiment about the socail conditions that hinders being Existenz of social members.
