The final object of this monograph is to make clear of relation between Naehun(內訓) and its four reference books. Naehun is a book that Queen Sohye(昭惠王后, 1437~1504) compiled to propagate Confucian morals for women in 15th century. She is Seongjong(成宗)`s mother, the 9th king in Choseon Dynasty. In its preface, she said that Naehun was a selection of important sentences quoted from four reference books. In the preface and epilog, four reference books were called as Sohak·Yeollyeo·Yeogyo·Myeonggam, but their abbreviations have not been clear which text they were. That is an important issue that I discuss in this monograph. Considering editions of the reference books and comparing 116 sentences of Naehun with those of reference books, I assumed that those exact texts were Sohakjipseong(小學集成), Gogeumyeollyeojeon(古今列女傳), Goyeollyeojeon(古列女傳), the first edition of Myeongsimbogam(明心寶鑑), and an anthology of discipline books for women that called shortly `Yeogyo`, which was open to question. It is possible that `Yeogyo` and `Myeonggam` are not different books and `Yeogyomyeonggam` is one book. Another issue is how the editor of Naehun practically made use of reference books. That is a matter of intertextuality. In conclusion, 116 sentences of Naehun were all quotations from the reference books. Also it is very interesting that Sohak was given a great deal of weight, 63~71% of Naehun, and Yeollyeo·Yeogyo were 23% of it.
