수업 설계의 중요성에도 불구하고 현행 국어과 수업안은 몇 가지 문제점 때문에 현장에서 제대로 제 기능을 발휘하지 못하고 있다. 이 수업안은 첫째, 70년대에 고안된 것으로서 현실 교육 여건을 제대로 반영하지 못했다. 둘째, 너무 형식적이어서 교사가 직관을 반영하여 `내 교실`에 적합하도록 융통성 있게 변형하기 어렵다. 셋째, 교과별 특성을 반영하지 못하고 있다. 이런 반성적 고찰을 바탕으로 이 글에서는 대단원을 중심으로 새로운 국어과의 대단원 수업안을 다음과 같이 제안하였다.

In spite of the importance of instructional design the present design is not useful in the class because of its weak points. The design being used at present has some point of issues. It is not proper to present educational condition, because it is made 30 years ago. It is strict so it is difficult for teachers to make it to be adaptable. It does not reflect of characters of each subject. So, I device a new instructional design as below.
