이 논문은 대학의 글쓰기 수업에서 흔히 사용하는 수정 방법인 자기 첨삭, 동료 첨삭, 교수 첨삭 방법에 대한 효과를 진단하기 위한 것이다. 이 논문에서는 3개 학급을 실험 대상으로 하여 각각의 수정 방법을 시행한 후 초고와 재고 사이의 성적을 평가하여 통계 처리하고 결과를 검토하였다. 초고와 재고 사이의 종합 점수의 향상 정도는 동료첨삭>교수첨삭>자기첨삭으로 나타났다. 분석적 평가 항목에 대해 각 집단별로 통계적으로 유의미한 변화를 분석해 보면 다음과 같다. 먼저 자기첨삭에서는 유의미한 변화가 없었다. 이는 자기첨삭은 수정방법으로 효과가 없음을 뜻한다. 둘째 동료첨삭에서 <내용 전개의 일관성>, <단락의 논리적 배열>, <비문, 번역투, 긴문장>의 경우 초고와 재고 사이에 유의미한 변화가 있었다. 셋째 교수첨삭의 경우 <주제의 적절성>, <비문, 긴문장, 번역투>에서 통계적으로 유의미한 변화가 있었다. 이에 대한 해석은 다음과 같다. 자기첨삭은 주제, 내용, 문장에서 별 차이가 없었다. 자기첨삭은 자기 글에 대한 객관화 과정에 실패한 것으로 나타났다. <주제의 적절성>에 대한 변화는 동료첨삭이 교수첨삭보다 나았다. 학생들이 주제를 바꾸는 것은 교수의 지적보다 동료의 조언이 더 효과적이었다. <내용의 일관성> 역시 동료첨삭이 교수첨삭보다 더 나았다. 교수첨삭에서는 첨삭 내용을 재고에 반영하지 않은 것이 많은 반면, 동료첨삭에서는 첨삭 내용을 대부분 반영했다. 문장 수정에 대해서는 자기첨삭의 경우 오히려 부적합한 문장이 더 늘어난 반면에 동료첨삭과 교수첨삭에서는 부적합한 문장이 현저하게 줄어들었다.

One of the important learning in college writing is a Revision. They are often used to revise the writing by self-correction, peer correction and instructor correction. This paper is written in order to diagnose such effects of learning on Methods of Revision. For this study, the experiment was done in three classes and scores were compared between first drafts and revised drafts. First, the improvement of the total score shows that they are in order peer correction, instructor correction and self correction. The followings are the results for details. Self correction doesn`t have significant difference in themes, contents and sentences. Self correction shows the writer to fail to look at his writing objectively. In adequacy of theme, the peer correction is better than the instructor correction. To change the subject of writing, the advice of peers is more effectively than the advice of instructor. The consistency of content also shows that the advice of peers is better than the advice of instructor. At the instructor`s correction, it is not reflected the correction of content more while peers correction is mostly reflected the content of correction. Students believe more the peer correction rather than instructor correction. The case of self correction has more inappropriate sentence in revision of sentence. One the other hand, the peer correction and instructor correction has a lot of adequate sentence.
