이 글은 욕망과 충동, 그리고 안티고네와 시뉴에 관한 논의를 중심으로 슬로베니아 학파의 라깡 해석을 비판적으로 고찰하고자 하는 목표를 갖는다. 슬로베니아 학파, 부르스 핑크 등 최근 영어권의 몇몇 저자들은 욕망과 충동을 과도하게 구분하고 후자를 특권화하는 경향을 보이고 있다. 이러한 경향은 라깡 이론을 잘 이해하고자 하는 본래의 취지에 반해 오히려 라깡 이론을 왜곡할 수 있는 위험이 있다. 이러한 위험은 주판치치의 시뉴 해석에서 극명하게 드러난다. 주판치치는 욕망에 대한 충동의 우위를 주장하는 가운데 시뉴의 행위들에 과장된 의미를 부여하며 이를 안티고네의 행위와 대조시킨다. 물론 후기 라깡이 향유와 충동에 강조점을 두었으며, 라깡의 연구가 향유 개념으로 옮겨 갔음은 의심의 여지가 없다. 그러나 위에서 언급한 저자들은 향유와 욕망 개념의 `변증법적` 연관성을 파악하지 못하기 때문에 라깡 이론에서 중요한 역할을 하는 `분석의 끝` 개념을 설명하는 데 성공하지 못하며 라깡 이론을 전반적으로 독자들에게 적절하게 이해시키지 못한다. 끝으로 이 논문은 『세미나 7권』 이후의 라깡 이론의 발전과정을 간략히 소개하면서 키에사의 `정치편향적` 향유이론을 비판한다.

The main purpose of this paper is to review critically Lacan-interpretaion of the Slovenian School, especially with regards to the desire and drive, Anigone and Sygne. Recently some authors in the English-speaking world like Zizek, Zupancic, Fink tends to distinguish the concept of desire and drive too excessive, and to give the latter primacy. In spite of the good will to make understood Lacan`s theory, this tendency has a danger to make a false impression on the Lacanian theory. This danger culminates in Zupancic`s Interpreation of Sygne, for emphasizing excessively the primacy of drive over the desire she interprets, without foundation, all Sygne`s acts as ethical. Of course, it can not be denied that late Lacan puts an emphasis on joussance and drive, and move onto the study of them. But as the abovementioned authors couldn`t grasp the `dialectical` relationship, they finally did`nt succeed in explaining the end of psychoanalysis that plays an important role in the late Lacan, and failed to make leaders understand the Lacan`s theory coherently. Finally, this paper presents briefly the development of Lacanian Theory after The Seminar Ⅶ and also criticize the politically oriented interpretation of Chiesa`s jouissance theory.
