본 연구의 목적은 교사의 영양교육실태, 교사의 유아영양교육 현황 및 교수방법 그리고 교사의 영양지식을 파악하고 이를 근거로 유아 영양교육 프로그램 및 교수자료 개발의 방안을 모색해 보는데 있다. 본 연구의 목적에 따라 관련문헌 자료 분석 및 전문가 협의를 통해 설문지를 개발하였고, 개발된 설문지는 교사의 영양교육실태, 유아영양교육 현황 및 교수법, 교사의 영양지식의 3하위 영역의 33문항으로 구성하였다. 연구대상은 국공립 및 사립 유치원에 근무하면서 실제로 영양교육을 실시하고 있는 교사 199명이었으며, 수집된 자료는 Chi검증, t-검증, ANOVA를 실시하고 추후분석은 Scheffe 검증을 통해 분석하였다. 연구결과 교사의 영양 교육실태, 유아의 영양교육 현황 및 교수방법, 교사의 영양지식은 교사의 배경 변인에 따라 상당부분이 유의한 차이가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

This study is intended to understand the realities of teachers` education about nutrition, the current status of their nutrition education for young children and their teaching methods, and their knowledge of nutrition, Based on the understanding, to find ways to develop programs of nutrition education for young children and teaching materials. In accordance with the purpose of the study, the questionnaire was developed through the analysis of relevant literary materials and consultation with specialists. The questionnaire was composed of 33 items in three subcategories such as the realities of teachers` education in nutrition, the current status of nutrition education for young children and teaching methods, and teachers` knowledge of nutrition, The subjects of the study were 199 teachers who worked for national, public or private kindergartens, actually implementing nutrition education. Chi-Square Test, t-Test and ANOVA were used to analyze the data collected. For post hoc multiple comparisons, the Scheffe test was used. The result of the study is that the realities of teachers` education in nutrition, the current status of their nutrition education for young children and their teaching methods, and their knowledge of nutrition are significantly different according to the variable of teachers` background.
