본 연구는 수학-음악 통합 집단게임이 유아의 수학과 음악 능력에 미치는 효과를 살펴보고자 한 것으로 안양시에 소재한 H유치원의 만 5세반 유아 42명이며, 실험집단과 비교집단으로 구분하여 실험집단에서 14회에 걸쳐 수학-음악 통합 집단게임을 실시하였다. 수학능력은 SESAT(Stanford Early School Achievement Test)를, 음악능력 검사는 Gordon(1986)이 개발한 음악청취력 기초검사(PMMA)를 이용해 사전, 사후 검사를 실시하였으며 수집된 자료는 t-검증을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과 첫째, 수학-음악 통합 집단게임을 실시한 실험집단의 수학능력이 비교집단보다 높게 나타났다. 둘째, 음악능력도 비교집단보다 수학-음악 통합 집단게임을 실시한 실험집단에서 높게 나타났다. 따라서 수학-음악 통합 집단 게임은 유아들의 수학능력과 음악능력 향상에 효과가 있음을 알 수 있었다.

This study is to investigate the effects of the math-music integrated group game on children`s mathematical and musical ability. Forty two 5-year-old children participated in the city of Anyang, Korea. Forty two children were divided into an experimental group and a comparison group. The experimental group had 14 sessions with the math-music group games. Children were pre- and post-tested on their mathematical ability using SESAT(Stanford Early School Achievement Test) and musical ability using the Gordon(1986)`s Primary Measure of Music Audiation(PMMA). The data were analyzed by T-test. The results of this study were summarized as follows: First, the degree of mathematical ability was higher in the experimental group than the comparison group. Second, the degree of musical ability was higher in the experimental groups than in the comparison group. Therefore, the math-music integrated group games were effective for the improvement of young children`s mathematical and musical ability.
