이 논문은 외국인 학습자가 한국어 학습 과정에서 겪게 되는 기본적인 장애의 정도를 완화시켜 줄 수 있는 방안의 하나로, 학습자 자신의 언어적 기반 즉 모국어 환경과의 접점을 마련해 주기 위해 간문화적 접근을 기반으로 한 교수-학습 안을 모색해 보았다. 이 교수·학습의 목표는 `이야기 만들어 가기`를 통한 언어능력과 문화능력의 함양에 있다. 여기에는 일차적으로 학습자들이 지니고 있을 `이야기 능력`에 대한 믿음이 수반되어야 한다. 한국어학습자들은 한국어에 서툰 것이지 언어에 서툰 것이라고 볼 수는 없으며 `이야기 능력`은 인간이 지닌 기본적 언어능력이라는 점에서 적절한 촉매를 제공한다면 매우 효과적인 방법이 될 것으로 본다. 이 교수·학습에서는 학습자가 경험했거나 유사 경험했을 것으로 볼 수 있는 모국어 텍스트를 토대 텍스트로 삼고 그것과 `보편적 모티프의 공유` 관계에 있는 한국어 텍스트를 목표 텍스트로 삼아 과정적인 활동을 하는 데에 그 요체가 있다. 간문화적 간텍스트성을 원리로 삼는 셈이다. 또한 이 교수·학습은 전체적으로 `어휘나 문법`의 기초 범주, `듣기`와 `읽기`의 이해 범주와 `말하기`와 `쓰기`의 표현 범주를 통합하는 활동을 지향하게 된다. 궁극적으로 `쓰기`활동의 구체화를 통한 한국어 능력의 신장을 도모하게 된다. 그 구체적인 단계는 다음과 같이 요약할 수 있다. 텍스트 소개와 경험의 도출→토대 텍스트 수용→서사 단락 정리→서사 단락의 기본 요소 추출→토대 텍스트의 기본 요소와 대응되게 목표 텍스트의 기본 요소 제시→기본 요소 이해하기→기본 요소의 서사 단락화하기→서사 단락을 확장하여 텍스트 완성→목표 텍스트 제시와 비교·이해

This research takes aim at searching for a solution to the goal that it is a very necessary program, how a teacher lessen the obstacle in learning korean language by foreigner, and how a teacher make the technique for the learner`s displaying ability to his mother tongue by himself. The methodological core of this article is establishing the foundation that can transfer the ability to think and express from the environment of mother tongue to the environment of foreign language, korean. The concrete programs in this article is based on the assumption that every man have the capacity of making narrative, and that the property and principle of narrative genre-especially motive-is very universal factor, as it will be a device of lessening the obstacle by cultural difference in learning foreign language. The program of making narrative is planned step by step. The step is symmetrical and sequential.
