문화콘텐츠의 하위 분야로서 교육콘텐츠의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 하지만 교육콘텐츠를 강조해 온 저간의 사정을 살펴보면 주로 상업화 가능성에 초점을 맞춰온 것도 사실이다. 콘텐츠산업을 경제적 이익의 관점에서만 바라본다면 교육콘텐츠가 갖춰야 할 높은 공공성을 상실할 우려가 높다. 이는 교육 분야, 그 가운데 고전 교육이 갖는 높은 문화적 가치를 도외시한 발상의 산물이다. 아시아인으로서의, 한국인으로서의 자기정체성은 결국 전통 문화의 힘으로부터 나오는 것이다. 정부와 유관 단체가 조속히 이를 깨달아 문화 교육의 중요성을 선포하고 이를 실현할 교육콘텐츠 개발에 투자를 아끼지 않아야 하겠다. 이 논문에서는 고전문화 교육의 의미를 역동적인 세계화 시장에 비추어 되돌아보고 특히 고전문화 분야, 특히 한문문화의 경우 향후 연구자들이 추구해야 할 콘텐츠 개발 방안을 시험적으로 모색했다. 스토리텔링 분야야말로 현재의 제한적 조건 안에서 한문학 연구자들이 공공적 교육콘텐츠를 창조해낼 수 있는 최적 분야라고 생각하여 한문소설과의 연관성을 모색해 보았다. 개정교육과정이 문화를 강조하고 있는 점과 연관하여 새롭고 도전적인 후속 연구가 시급히 요구된다.
The importance of edutainment contents or educational contents as a sub-part of the culture contents has been emphasized. But if we survey the present condition more precisely, we could perceive that the creators of edu-contents had focused their works on the possibility of commercialization. As far as we regard the edu-contents industry only in the view point of economic profit, the high-publicity which every edu-contents should be equipped could be lost so easily. This is the product of the foolish concept disregarding the high cultural values of the education, especially the education of the traditional classics. The self identification as an asian and a Korean could be derived from the power of our own culture. So the government and another administrative organizations have to realize these facts and invest a lot of fund to develop the edu-contents. In this report, we investigate the meaning of the classic culture education in the age of globalization, and testify the possibility of the development of edu-contents in the case of Sino-Korean culture education. Above all we understand that the field of storytelling could be most suitable part where the researchers of the Sino-Korean culture can create public edu-contents, so that we grope the relation between the storytelling industry and the Sino-Korean novels. We hope another valuable papers would be continued after this one relating with the recently revised educational curriculum in 2008 that emphasize the cultural education.
