본 연구의 목적은 개인의 심리경향에 따라 자주 나타나는 역기능적 의사소통유형을 밝혀, 집단상담이나 가족치료 등에서 사용할 수 있는 심리경향과 의사소통을 결합시킨 프로그램을 개발하는데 필요한 기초자료를 제공하는데 있다. 이 목적을 달성하기 위하여 스트레스 상황에 대처하는 기제로써의 의사소통유형이 개인의 성격유형을 특징짓는 심리적 경향에 따라 어떻게 달라지는지를 비교 분석하여 그 관계를 알아보았다. 본 연구는 부산시내 4개 대학에 재학중인 대학생으로서 MBTI와 의사소통유형검사에 성실히 응답한 319명을 대상으로 하였으며, 검사도구 중 의사소통유형검사는 본 연구를 위하여 개발한 것을 사용하였다. 첫 번째 연구문제는 심리경향에 따라 의사소통유형이 달라질 것인가 하는 것이며 이에 대해 심리경향을 주축별, 기질과 기능별, 열등기능별로 살펴보았다. 두 번째 연구문제는 성별에 따라 스트레스 상황에서 의사소통유형에 차이가 있을 것인지를 알아보는 것이었다. 이것은 같은 성격유형일지라도 남녀의 성에 따라 성격의 표현양상이 달라지듯이 의사소통 표현방식애도 차이가 있는지를 아울러 밝혀 보기 위한 것이다. 연구결과, 주축별 심리경향인 의향과 내향, 사고와 감정, 판단 과 인식의 경향에 따라, 기질과 기능의 경향에 따라, 그리고 주기능과 열등기능에 따라 긴장상태에서 표현되는 의사소통유형에 각각 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 성별에 따라서도 긴장상태에서의 역기능적 의사소통유형에 차이가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

The Purpose of this study is to investigate difference of the communication stances by the psychological tendency. In this study, the subjects were 133 male and 186 female students attending University in Pusan, and they were given two tests. The instruments are Myers-Briggs Type Indicator(MBTI) and Communication Stance Test. The results can be summarized as follows: 1) In extroverted, high percentage of communication stance is congruent response and low is super-reasonable one, and in introverted, high percentage of communication stance is super-reasonable response and low is blaming one. 2) There is no significance difference in communication stances according to sensing and intuition 3) In thinking, high percentage of communication stance is super -reasonable response and low is placating and irrelevant one, and in feeling, high percentage of communication stance is irrelevant response and low is blaming one. 4) In judging, high percentage of communication stance is placating response and low is blaming one, and in perceiving, high percentage of communication stance is irrelevant response and low is placating one. 5) According to temperament, high percentage of communication stance in SJ is congruent and placating response, in SP is irrelevant one, in NF is congruent one, and in NT is congruent one. 6) According to function, high percentage of communication stance in ST is super-reasonable response, in SF is irrelevant one. 7) According to inferior function, communication stances are different significantly. 8) High percentage of communication stance is super-reasonable response and low is placating response one in male, and high percentage of communication stance is congruent response and low is super-reasonable one in female. On the basis of these results, it was concluded that there is difference of the communication stances by the psychological tendency and the gender.
