본 연구는 개인이 편안한 상태에서 자연스럽게 그린 그림이 MBTI의 성격적인 특성을 잘 나타낸다는 사실에 관심을 가지고 MBTI 성격유형과 개인의 회화적(緖畵的)표현과의 관계를 알아보았다. 이러한 관계를 검증하기 위해 MBTI 4가지 선호지표에서 E/I는 바탕색칠 여부를, S/N은 그림의 소재를, T/F는 그림속의 사람등장 여부를, J/P는 공간활용도를 분석하는 기준으로 사용하였다. 그리고 16가지 성격유형별로 나누어 그림의 제목과 내용을 분석하였다. 4가지 선호지표로 분석한 결과를 보면 E는 I에 비해 그림의 바탕색을 더 많이 칠하였다. S는 사실적, 경험적인 것을 주로 사용하였고, N은 선·도형이나 별·달·해 같은 자연소재를 이용하였다. N이 사실적, 현실적인 소재를 사용하였다 하더라도 비유적 은유적으로 많이 활용하였다. T형보다는 F형의 그림속에 사람이 더 많이 그려졌고 내용 설명에서도 사람과 관계시 관련된 감정을 많이 표현했다. J형이 P형보다 공간을 더 많이 활용하여 그림을 그렸다. 또한 개인이 그린 그림의 제목이나 내용이 MBTI의 16가지 성격유형의 특성을 잘 나타내었다. 위의 결과로 보아 MBTI(Myers-Briggs Type Indicalor)의 이론적 근거인 Jung의 심리적인 경향은 선천적으로 타고나고 그런 경향성은 대화나 업무처리 방식뿐만 아니라 그림이라는 회화적 표현속에서 나타난다고 결론 내릴 수 있다.
This study aims to find out the relationship between the personality type and pictorial expression with the interest in the fact one who draw the picture naturally in a relaxing circumstance shows well the MBTI personality characteristics. The criteria in the 4 MBTI Preferences used to verify this relationship are as follows ; 1. E/I - room for ground painting, 2. S/N - drawing materials, 3. T/F - room for figures, 4. J/P - analysing the ability utilizing the vacancy. And, 16 divided personality types are used in analysing the title of the drawings and the contents. The findings of this study are as follows ; Firsuy, E painted the ground of the picture more when compared with I. Secondly, S made use of materials realistic, and empirical. N took the materials such as the line, the diagram, or stars, the moon, and the sun from the nature. Thirdly, more personal figures were appeared in F type than T Type. And regarding content description, related emotions were much expressed when it concerned with the interpersonal relationships. Fourth, more vacancy was utilized by J type than P type. And lastly, the title and the content reveals well the characteristics of 16 personalty types. With the above results the conclusion can be made as this; Jung`s Psychological tendency is inherited, and such tendency is revealed in such pictorial exeession as picture as well as in the dialogue and in dealing with business.
