본고의 목표는 17세기-19세기(1684, 1786, 1867) 대구 동상면 호적의 노명(奴名)을 분석하여 여기에 나타난 차자 표기 이용 방식을 살펴보고자 하는 것이다. 이를 위해, 첫 번째로, 고유어 인명과 한자어 인명 및 혼종어(混種語) 인명의 판정 기준을 제시하였다. 즉 대응되는 고유어가 있으면 고유어 인명으로 보았고 실질적인 의미가 있으면서 대응되는 고유어가 없으면 한자어로 보았다. 다음으로, 2장의 판정 기준에 따라 노명(奴名)을 12가지 유형(용모, 성격, 시간, 순서, 노(奴)의 역할, 도구, 동물, 식물, 인물, 자연, 지명, 기타 등)으로 분류 및 해독하였다. 한편 노명(奴名)의 해독을 통하여 근대국어시기의 국어사적 특징(두음법칙, 원순모음화, 자음탈락, 모음탈락, 활음탈락, 연철표기, 중철표기 등)에 대하여 살펴보았다.

The aim of this study is to analysis slave`s name of family registers of 17th-19th centuries(1684, 1786, 1867) in Daegu Dongsang-myeon and to examine the way of naming in the family registers and the Korean transcription(borrowed character) of Modern Korean period. The second thing to do is to decode the slave`s name, because the most of slave`s name was spelled by the borrowed character. But, the first thing to do is to make standard for deciding before the decoding. So, first of all, I suggest the standard for deciding of a personal names written in Chinese, Korean, hybrid character (of Korean and Chinese) in chapter 2. In other words, in case that there are the slave`s name written in borrowed character that is corresponded to Korean, I regard the name as Korean personal name. And I regard the name as Chinese personal name in case that there are no corresponded to Korean and there is a meaning in substance. Next, according to standard for deciding in chapter 2, I classify a view naming slave`s name into 12 types(feature, personality, time, order, order of slave, tool, animal, plant, human, nature, the name of a place, etc.) and decode. On the other hand, I examine a characteristic of History Korean in Modern Korean period(a rule of the initial sound, ㄹ of a word -老味, vowel-rounding -夫於己/馬夫, ㅎConsonant deletion -岩外/麻堂介, vowel deletion of /ㅡ/and /ㆍ/ -談沙 里, deletion of glides /ㅚ/ -道也之, deletion of glides /ㅟ/ -非扶[扶], spellings of liaison(連綴表記) -夫於己/道致, spellings of gemination(重綴表記) -岳只, etc.) through decoding of slave`s name. Finally, this study will be meaningful in History of Korean, if it is done to supplement more data in 17th-19th, meaning in Korean Historical Phonology, in Korean Morphology and also significance in study of dialect that this study has.
