본고에서는 현행 국어과 쓰기 교육과정에서 컴퓨터 글쓰기가 매우 제한적으로 다루어지고 있다는 판단에서 쓰기 교육과정 내용에 컴퓨터 글쓰기와 관련한 교육 내용을 좀 더 적극적으로 반영하는 방안을 탐색하고자 하였다. 컴퓨터 글쓰기와 관련한 교육 내용 요소를 탐색하기 위해 68명의 대학교 1학년 학생들을 대상으로 하여 각자의 글쓰기 과정과 선호하는 글쓰기 방식을 중심으로 한 내러티브를 작성해 보도록 한 다음, 그 자료를 모아 지속적 비교 방법에 따라 분석해 보았다. 그 결과 컴퓨터 글쓰기는 손 글쓰기를 재매개함으로써 다양한 편의를 제공하고 더 나아가 손 글쓰기에서는 제공하기 힘든 다양한 어포던스를 가지고 있음을 파악할 수 있었다. 하지만 동시에 현재로선 손 글쓰기를 넘어설 수 없는 여러 가지 한계도 가지고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 이를 바탕으로 컴퓨터 글쓰기의 장점을 최대화하고 단점을 보완하는데 도움이 되는 교육 내용 요소들을 지식 범주와 기능 범주에 나누어 제시해 보았다. 이 연구를 통해 현 시점에서는 두 글쓰기 방식 중 어느 하나가 다른 하나를 완전히 대체하는 방식으로 쓰기 교육 내용을 구성하기보다는, 각각의 장점을 극대화하고 단점을 극복하는 데 도움이 되는 교육 내용을 각기 마련하는 것이 좋다는 판단에 이르게 되었다.

This study aims to develop a curriculum for computer writing under the recognition that teaching computer writing is very limited in Korean language education. For the development, this study implements a case study with 68 college freshmen by asking them to write a narrative about their writing experience, their writing tool preference between handwriting and computer writing. The analysis of the narratives indicates that computer writing has both merits and demerits. That is, while remediating handwriting and providing new affordances, computer writing still has some limits. Based on it, this study suggests a curriculum for computer writing which enhances the merits of computer writing and reduces the demerits. This study indicates the notion of parallel pedagogy works between computer writing and handwriting at this point.
