This paper tries to examine the problems of Chinese modernity together with Buddhist way of thinking. The latter in this paper represents the `mirror image` of modernity ideology. Overall the Buddhist world view will be used as a means to initiating the ipso facto `postmodern` discourse. The third chapter of this paper will try to show theoretically that pathological syndrome of modern alienation occurs within the structure of our `conceptual` way of thinking. The main theme of this paper, therefore, can be further discussed from the broader perspective of the philosophy of language and epistemology.
