이 논문은 손창섭의 『인간교실』에 대한 정밀한 탐색을 목적으로 한 글이다. 정밀한 탐색의 결과 이 작품은 박정희 체제의 1기에 대한 손창섭의 비판적인 문제의식을 반영하고 있는 텍스트로 해석하였다. 이러한 해석과 더불어 이 글은 텍스트의 무의식 차원에서 이 작품이 1972년 말에 이루어진 손창섭의 도일을 징후적으로 예비하는 작품으로, 그런 점에서 유신체제에 대한 환멸과 절망이 원인이었을 것으로 추정되는 도일 동기가 훨씬 더 분명한 형태로 드러나는 『길』의 전사적 텍스트로 해석하였다. 이러한 목적과 문제의식에 기초하여 이 글은 이 작품에서 반복강박의 양상을 보이면서 드러나는 결락과 결손의 표지를 지닌 가족의 모습을 당시 여러 가지 측면에서 위험사회의 징후를 드러내고 있던 박정희 체제(1961~1963)에 대한 알레고리적 표상으로 해석하였다. 이러한 표상은 두 가지 모티프로 드러나고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 하나는 박정희 체제의 억압과 폭력에 대한 비판과 분노의 모티프였다. 다른 하나는 1960년대 초반 서울을 중심으로 그 기틀을 형성해나가던 모더니티에 대한 혐오와 환멸의 모티프였다. 한편, 이 작품은 창작의 원천으로 작용하던 오이디푸스 콤플렉스를 고백하는 「신의 희작」을 발표한 이후 이전의 작품들과는 달리, 당대의 사회현실에 밀착하여 사회적 약자나 하위주체들의 소외와 고통에 관심을 집중하는 새로운 방향성과 돌파구를 모색하던 손창섭에게 하나의 구체적인 계기를 마련했다는 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다고 평가하였다.

The purpose of this thesis is the close search on the Classroom of human beings of the Son Chang-seup. This thesis interpreted the text as reflection his critical mind on the system of Park Jeng-hee. Together with the interpretation, this thesis interpreted the text as pretext of {the road} which more obviously exposed the motive of visit to Japan of him. This thesis which has this purpose and critical mind interpreted aspects of families which have marks of defect and dearth as aliegoric representation on the system of Park Jeng-hee which has diverse probrems. The aliegoric representation on the system of Park Jeng-hee emerged two motifs. One, the motif of comment and resentment on the oppression of the system of Park Jeng-hee. The other, the motif of disillusion and disgust on the modernity which shaped the base centering around Seoul in 1960`s early. In conclusion, this thesis appraised the text as a opportunity which gived Son Chang-seup who tried to find a solution to a probrem which needs breakthrough and direction his writings.
