듣기 수업에서 메모의 필요성은 제기되었으나 그 방법은 제시되지 않았다. 그래서 논자는 듣기 수업을 할 때 어떻게 메모를 해야 효율적으로 듣기 교육을 할 것인가에 대해서 논하였다. 첫째, 초등학교 저학년의 메모할 내용은 총 73개인데, 이를 구조별로 보면 `단일 정보`(41개), `시간/장소 변화/담화 내용 차례`(13개), `원인-결과`(10개), `분류/분석`(9개) 구조가 있다. 그 중에서 `단일 정보`를 메모하는 것이 56.16%를 차지하여 과반수가 된다. 둘째, 메모 기록 방법에 따라 분류하면 단어로 쓰기가 37개(50.68%), 구/절로 쓰기가 32개(43.84%), ○표하기가 1개(1.4%), 선 잇기가 2개(2.7%), 순서를 번호로 쓰기가 1개(1.4%), 붙임딱지를 붙이기가 1개(1.4%)로 되어 있다. 이를 보면 메모 기록 방법은 대부분 단일 단어나 구/절로 메모하도록 되어 있다. 다양한 기록 방법을 사용할 필요가 있으며, 메모 습관을 기르고, 또 메모 방법을 익히도록 교사의 지도가 필요하다. 셋째, 메모를 효율적으로 하기 위해서는 메모하기 전에는 학습 내용을 미리 읽어 보고, 해당 차시 학습 내용에 대한 배경지식을 확장하거나 메모할 내용을 미리 예측해 본다. 그리고 메모를 할 때 어떤 메모 구조나 기록 방법으로 메모할 것인가 등을 생각해 본다. 메모 중에는 메모 구조, 기록 방법에 따라 메모하되, 해당 차시의 1번 `1. -을 들어 봅시다.`와 2번 `2. -을 다시 듣고, 물음에 답하여 봅시다.`에서 메모하는 활동을 한다. 메모 후에는 해당 차시 문제 2번의 (1), (2)번, 그리고 그 이하 학습 내용의 물음에 답하는 활동을 한다.

It is good to memorize listening contents for the effective listening in the primary school. So I studied how to memo in the listening class. 1. There are 73 contents in the first and second grade`s `Listening and Speaking` textbook of primary school. I could classify the contents into `One Information`(41pieces), `Time/Place/Story contents order`(13pieces), `Cause-Effect`(10pieces), Classification/Analysis`(9pieces) 2. And I could classify the contents by the mothed to writing. There are `word writing`(37 pieces), `phrase or clause writing`(32 pieces), and the others(5 pieces). The most of all methods is word or phrase and clause writing methods. There is necessary to record memo by various kinds of methods. 3. There are three processes in the memorizing method. The process is `Before memo-During memo-After memo`. In the `Before memo` student do listen and read the content of the textbook. So they know what to memo. In the `During memo` student do listen and memo the content of the textbook. In the `After memo` student do review the memo contents and rewrite and classify the memo. After that solve the questions.
