Blake`s vital message to us today concerns the awakening of Albion, the opening of the spiritual Eye of every man and woman. It also concerns the transformation of the Spectre, the reasoning power, so that it works for us, for our Divinity, and not against it. Laws devised by rationalism, devoid of heart -understanding for the individual, divorced from inner experience, and treating men and women as outside objects, are inhuman Imagination, Christ, Blake maintains acts with love and compassion, overcomes alienation, wheres the moral laws of State religion, invented by the selfhood, by Satan and Accuser, are remote from and destructive of creative life. Spiritual man is not forced to follow the revelation of his intuitive imagination. He follows it because he lows it. Christ, the inspiring spirit within man, is the God of Compassion and Mercy. Instead of appearing as source from without, Christ will be experienced by Man within. Man will then have passed through Eternal Death and awakened to Eternal Life.
