본 연구에서는 비디오 자기 모델링을 통해 지적 장애 학생들에게 패스, 드리블 및 컨트롤 그리고 슈팅 기술을 지도한 효과에 대해 분석하였다. 연구 대상은 서울지적장애 D 특수학교의 지적장애 학생 20명을 선정하여 실험집단 A그룹 10명과 비실험집단 B그룹 10명으로 선정배치하였다. 그리고 스페셜올림픽 축구 팀 경기 테스트 검사와 사회성숙도 검사를 실시하였다. 중재는 실험집단 학생들에게 비디오 자기 모델링 프로그램을 3회 걸쳐 적용하였다. 본 연구의 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째. 비디오 자기 모델링은 지적장애 축구선수들의 드리블 기술 향상 효과에 대해서는 드리블 기술을 향상시키는데 통계적으로 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 비디오 자기 모델링은 지적 장애 축구선수들의 컨트롤 및 패스기술 향상 효과에 대해서는 컨트롤 및 패스 기술을 향상시키는데 통계적으로 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째. 비디오 자기 모델링은 지적장애 축구선수들의 슈팅 기술 향상 효과에 대해서는 슛팅 기술을 향상시키는데 통계적으로 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 비디오 자기 모델링은 특수학교 지적 장애 축구선수의 드리블 기술, 컨트롤 및 패스 기술 그리고 슛팅 기술을 향상시키는데 효과가 있다고 할 수 있다.

Recently, there are many studies using multimedia for teaching soccer skills to mentally retarded students. Therefore, this study is going to focus on self-modeling using a recorded video programs, Here are the steps we will use in our research. First, we have developed and verified the program of self-modeling using a recorded video programs. And we have selected 20 students who are at special schools in Seoul. And then these students were separated into two groups. Group One is designated as an experimental group. This groups(20 students) implemented the self-modeling using a recorded video program. Group Two is known as a Control group. This group(10 students) implemented the traditional teacher-centered programs without watching a recorded video program. We have used Social Maturity Assessment to measure the students social maturity ability and Special Olympic Soccer Team Function Evaluation Test which tests soccer skills. And we have run SPSS 12.0 version and analyzed the data by the statistical analysis method of independent-Sampled T test to test hypotheses. Our data and statistics analysis summary will show that self-modeling using a recorded video programs has significantly positive results with students compared to teacher-centered programs without using a recorded video programs. This research has these implication. First, it is important that this research is conducted using the process of developing and verifying the self-modeling program of watching a recorded video. And it is meaningful that this research tested the effects on Special Olympic Soccer Team Function Evaluation Test by that program. This study have significance to special education because special education teacher can apply video self modeling instruction to soccer and also apply to other sports in special schools.
