본고에서는 디지털 시대 이후 몸 중심적 사유가 서사의 등장에 어떤 영향을 미쳤는지 살펴보고 이 양상이 서사 중심 의학에 관련되는 과정을 소개하였다. 근대 인쇄매체의 등장으로 발화자의 몸은 지식과 분리되었고 그에 따라, ``육체탈리``, ``추상적``, ``계층적``, ``개인적`` 등의 독특한 문자 문화가 발달하였는데 디지털 매체의 운용구조에 의해 그 근본적인 변화가 일어나고 다시 몸 중심적 담론구조인 서사가 등장하게 된다. 이는 인지과학이 증명해주고 있는 바, 이야기는 인간이 진화과정에서 적응한 마음의 한 장치인 것이다. 정보처리 장치가 이야기 구조로 되어 있으니 이야기 형식은 당연히 기억하기 좋은 구조를 지니게 되며 정보폭발 시대에 사람들은 자기 몸의 구조와 같은 이야기에 흥미를 느끼게 된다. 이는 이야기가 모든 지식체계의 서술형식으로 그 정당성을 획득하는 근거가 된다. 이제 몸의 언어로서의 이야기는 의학에 적용된다. 개인의 몸은 자기 삶의 이야기를 지닌 고유한 인격체로 병은 그 인격체가 과거와 미래가 연결된 자신의 삶의 의미 속에서 하는 경험인 것이다. 그에게 형성된 이 이야기로서의 정체성을 유지하게 하는 것이 특히 중환자의 고통을 덜어주고 회복을 바르게 하는 방법이라는 주장이 서사중심 의학의 요체이다. 더불어 이야기 치료, 놀이치료, 스토리텔링 주고받기(mutual storytelling technique) 기법, 심리극, 독서(문학)치료, 문학 속의 의학, 개인의 질병의 내러티브와 사회문화적 내러티브와의 관계 등, 서사가 다양한 방법에서 의학과 사용되는 양상을 간단히 소개하였다.

Entering the 21st century, it was emphasized the important of story, enough to be made a coinage ``story industry``. There had been new view that story became new material of culture because people have to receive information selectively in information explosion age and people are preferred content with the same story structure like structure of saving knowledge of the body. Unusual management structure of digital medium have radically reformed the thinking system. This study started from under-standing this point. So this study researched how to change the knowledge system with the body-centered thought in the appearance of narrative. This study also investigated how to connect medicine and narrative. Therefore the narrative has been used in the medical field such as narrative therapy, play therapy, mutual storytelling technique, psycho dramas, remedial reading, bibliotherapy, medicine in the literature, study of the connection between disease narrative and social-cultural narrative.
