이 연구는 거시적 독서와 균형적 독서 능력을 위해 비문학 독서 지도가 활성화되어야 한다고 보고, 지도 방안으로 비문학 독서감상문 쓰기에 주목을 하였다. 이에 초등학교 6학년 학생들의 비문학 독서감상문의 현황을 다각도로 고찰한 결과를 토대로 비문학 독서감상문 쓰기의 교육적 시사점을 모색하였다. 비문학 독서는 초등학생으로 하여금 다양한 분야의 책을 골고루 균형적으로 읽을 수 있는 기회를 제공한다. 그러나 책의 분량이나 지식 전달이 주는 건조한 문체로 인해 깊이 있는 비문학 독서를 하기가 어렵다. 이에 비문학 독서를 깊이 있게 하기 위하여 초등학생들이 친숙한 독서감상문 쓰기와 연계할 필요가 있다. 다만, 비문학 독서감상문 쓰기에서는 읽은 책의 내용을 전체 요약하기가 거의 불가능하므로, 읽은 내용 중 인용해야 할 것과 인용의 방법에 대하여 지도하는 것이 가장 기본적인 지도 내용이 된다고 보았다. 학생들은 원전을 인용하여 독서감상문 속에서 재맥락화하는 방법을 배우는 과정을 통해, 책의 내용을 좀 더 깊이 있게 이해하고 스스로 생각하여 성장하는 기회를 가지게 된다고 본다. 이 연구는 향후 정보를 다루는 비문학적인 글쓰기 전반에서도 인용 방법을 지도하는 연구가 필요하다고 보았다. 향후 2011년 개정 교육과정과 교과서에서는 이에 대한 지도 내용의 보완이 이루어지길 기대한다.

The significance of quotation is day by day elevated in cultural criticism, because quotation is an important mechanism or device of intertextuality. This paper aims to review an aspect of quotation expressed in the 6th elementary students` expository book reports, and analysis its presentation, proposing better reading and writing instruction for expository book report writing. In their book reports, it is found that students impressed their feelings well, but direct quotation is rarely expressed and summary-comment, too. There are found so many paraphrases relatively, but mostly immature expressions. Then, this article try to analysis current curriculum, elementary textbooks, and teachers` teaching guideline books for quotation pedagogical contents. But few contents are found. So this paper proposes that explicit instruction of quotation is necessary and important for better reading and writing a expository book report.
