다문화교육의 준비기에 접어든 한국 사회는 연구 성과 면에서 단기간임에도 불구하고 괄목할만한 양적 성장을 이루었다. 그러나 그 방향의 적합성과 실효성에 대한 성찰의 시간이 필요하다. 즉, 미래지향적인 방향으로 적확하게 추진 중인지를 재검토 해보아야 하는 시점이다. 이러한 문제의식에서 출발하여 학교 다문화교육의 위험 요인에 대해 검토해 보았다. 먼저 정책 집행 전담기구의 부재로 인한 학교 현장의 혼란 증대, 둘째, 다문화교육 정책 연구학교 결과의 획일성 등 크게 두 가지를 지적할 수 있다. 결과적으로 이의 극복을 위해서 다문화교육은 ``다문화 정책 컨트롤타워``를 중심으로 청사진을 마련하여 다채널 중복 사업의 전시일변도 정책에서 탈피함으로써 체계적인 다문화교육 정책으로 추진되어야 한다. 이를 바탕으로 학교 현장에서는 보다 실질적인 다문화교육의 실천 노력이 병행되어야 할 것이다.

For the purpose of creating future-oriented turning point, this research reviews about risk factors of current multicultural education of Korea. The study can be summarized in two major forms. First, the increased on-site disorder created by the absence of policy executive organization. Last, the standardization of policy research school for the multicultural education of Korea. Overall, the multicultural education of Korea should stir away from an exhibition of multi-channeled redundant business policy and build a blueprint of ``multicultural policy control tower`` which governs both government and private sector. In another words, the multicultural education of Korea should take on a systematic multicultural policy approach. With this base, the practicality of multicultural education and its practice effort on field should run in parallel.
