This study is written to analyze the role of Japanese semiconductor trading company in Korea which is a main executor of Japanese semiconductor import. To analyze above role, we looked into the feature of semiconductor industry, semiconductor import and distribution status in Korea. Then, we surveyed not only the development process of Japanese semiconductor industry, but also, the establishment background & the feature of Japanese semiconductor trading company including function change and competitiveness. Furthermore, based on the status & activity of Japanese semiconductor trading company in Korea, we finally analyzed the role of Japanese semiconductor trading company by applying 3 types of transaction cost after we mention that importing semiconductor occurs transaction cost. Our analysis result is that Japanese semiconductor trading company could save transaction cost for electronic manufacturer. And we can categorize transaction cost into 3 types which can be reduced by semiconductor trading company as belows.
