본 연구는 지적장애학생을 위한 지역사회중심 직업훈련프로그램을 위한 기초연구로서 지역사회 사업체들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 즉 지역사회중심 직업훈련프로그램을 개발하고 적용하기위해서는 지역 사업체를 선정하는 것이 필요하기에, 지역 사업체들의 지적장애인 직업훈련과 고용과 관련된 인식을 알아보는데 그 목적을 두었다. 조사방법으로는 지역사회에 있는 670개 사업체를 대상으로 우편설문을 실시하였으며, 결과분석은 설문지에 완전하게 응답한 55개 사업체를 대상으로 이루어졌다. 연구의 결과는 설문지 문항의 하위영역과 문항별로 분석하였으며, 사업체의 규모에 따라서도 통계분석을 실시하였다. 전반적인 결과를 살펴보면 지역사회 사업체들은 직업훈련장소 제공에 부정적인 인식을 보였으며, 장애인의 고용경험도 적은 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 사업체들은 지적장애학생이 취업하기 전에 직업실습훈련이 필요하다고 인식하고 있었으며, 직업적응 가능성에 대해서도 비교적 긍정적인 반응을 보였다. 그리고 지적장애인의 고용을 꺼려하는 이유와 지적장애인이 취업을 위해 갖추어야 할 기술에 대해서도 다양하게 제시하였다. 본 연구의 결과에서 직업훈련 장소를 제공할 수 있다고 응답한 사업체가 10개이었으므로, 이들 사업체들을 대상으로 지적장애학생의 지역사회중심 직업훈련프로그램을 개발하고 적용하는 후속연구가 실행된다.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the perceptions of manufacturing factories on the community-based job training for students with intellectual disabilities. This study surveyed 617 manufacturing factories by mall and 55 filled-in questionnaires were finally collected for analysis. The response ratio was 8 %. The results were as follows. Most factories did not want to be job training settings for students with intellectual disabilities, and about a half percent of factories had experiences to hire individuals with disabilities as workers. They also showed a slightly negative attitude on the future job openings for individuals with disabilities. They did not have an high expectation on the possibility of job adjustment of students with intellectual disabilities. Over a half percent of factories, however, showed that the community-based job training program was necessary to job success of students with intellectual disabilities. Implications for practice and future studies were discussed based on the results of this study.ed in the perspectives of transition education for students with intellectual disabilities.
