본 연구는 빈곤 가정 청소년의 가정적, 개인적, 주관적 인식 특성에 따른 진로장벽인식 수준의 차이와 이러한 특성이 진로장벽 인식에 미치는 영향을 규명하고, 평생교육의 영역에서 이들에 대한 지원 활성화를 위한 시사점 도출을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 달성하기 위하여 빈곤 가정 청소년(1,234명)의 진로장벽 인식 조사 응답 결과를 활용하여 분석하였다. 그 결과 부의 학력, 부모의 경제적 능력 유무, 부모와의 동거 여부 등의 가정적 특성, 청소년의 성별, 학령수준, 학업 성적 수준 등의 개인적 특성, 그리고 부모와의 관계, 부모의 관심, 현재 생활에 대한 만족 등의 주관적 인식 특성에 따라 빈곤 가정청소년이 진로장벽을 인식하는 수준에 차이가 나타났다. 또한 각 특성 요인이 진로장벽인식에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 주관적 인식 특성의 영향력이 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 토대로, 평생교육영역에서 빈곤 가정 청소년 대상의 교육프로그램을 개발, 운영할 때의 시사점과 나아가서 이들의 부모를 대상으로 한 교육프로그램의 방향성의 제언하였다.

This study aims to analyze differences of perceiving career barriers of teenagers in low-income families according to their family trait, individual characteristics and their subjective perception. The results of analyses(respondents=1,234) show that teenagers in low-income families perceive career barriers differently according to their family traits(fathers` educational background, whether their parents have economic ability or not, and whether they live with their parents or not), individual characteristics(gender, school record), and subjective perception of their environment, relationship with parents and parents` concerns. Second, their subjective perception is a significant determinant of their experience of career barriers. Based on these results, some suggestions and implications are discussed focusing on educational interventions for teenagers in low-income families as well as their parents should be planed and operated in lifelong education area.
