본 연구는 u-러닝 지원시스템의 사용성을 평가하기 위한 평가도구를 개발하고, 현재 활용중인 u-러닝 지원시스템의 사용성 평가를 실시함으로써 기존 u-러닝 지원시스템의 한계를 극복하고자 하는 것을 주요 목적으로 한다. 평가도구 개발을 위하여 먼저, 문헌조사, 사용자 분석, 과업 분석, 맥락 분석, 그리고 전문가 검토를 통하여 평가 영역과 항목을 도출한 후, 전문가 평가 및 현장 사전 검토를 통하여 타당성을 검증하였다. 평가도구는 유용성 영역, 편리성 영역, 감성 측면의 세 가지 형태로 개발되었으며, 이를 토대로 u-러닝 지원시스템 연구학교 학생(n=55)과 교사들(n=5)을 대상으로 설문 및 심층인터뷰 방법과 병행하여 사용성 평가를 실시하였다. 그 결과, 유용성 측면에서는 u-러닝 지원시스템의 사용성을 높게 인식하고 있었으나, 편리성 측면에서는 대체적으로 낮게 평가하는 경향을 보였다. 감성 측면에서는 사용자를 고려하지 않은 인터페이스라는 지적이 다수를 이루었다. 이러한 연구결과는 u-LSS가 언제 어디서나 학습을 할 수 있도록 시스템의 접근성을 강화해야 하고, 학습의 능동적인 참여를 이끌어 낼 수 있도록 학습 통제권을 높여 사용자 중심의 시스템으로 개선되어야 함을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study is to develop an instrument for evaluating the usability of u-LSS(u-Learning Supporting System), and to implement the developed assesment instrument, categories and components were identified based on reviews of existing literature and user analysis, task analysis, context analysis and expert evaluation of u-LSS. Next, the expert evaluation and a pilot study were carried out to validate the instrument. As a result, three versions of the instrument (usefulness, convenience, sensibility) were developed. A usability test was conducted by implementing the instrument along with interviews and field studies. A total of 55 students and 5 teachers participanted in the survey. Results show that usefulness aspect did not have many difficulties using the u-LSS, but felt unsatisfied with the convenience support the u-LSS offered. In sensibility, most of the critics was that the interface had not been designed considering users. Results imply that the u-LSS should be improved to strengthen accessibility and the learner`s control to the system. Thus, u-LSS will drive learner`s active participation and improved as user-centered design.
