이 글은 출산경험의 서사화 방식의 측면에서 현대태몽담 중 뱀태몽담을 논한 것이다. 우선 뱀태몽담의 구조는 뱀상징에 대한 태몽주체의 반응으로 되어 있다. 반응의 양상은 크게 애착과 꺼림으로 나타난다. 그리고 뱀태몽담의 이러한 구조적 특징에 의하면 뱀상징의 의미는 느닷없음, 놀람(두려움)의 대상, 호감의 대상이다. 이들은 임신과 출산의 몇 가지속성들을 의미하는데 느닷없음은 운명적 속성, 놀람(두려움)의 대상은 두려움과 고통의 속성, 호감의 대상은 기대와 두려움 등 이중적인 성격을 의미한다. 마지막으로 임신과 출산의 속성을 가장 적절하게 표현한 것에 치마 속으로 들어온 뱀 모티프와 딸기 덩굴 속의 뱀 모티프가 있다. 전자는 뱀상징 특유의 속성과 구조를 통해, 임신과 출산의 운명적 성격, 고통, 성적 수치심을, 후자는 예쁜 뱀이라는 특징적인 뱀상징과 탐색담 구조를 통해 출산경험의 신기한 속성과 갈등적 측면을 표현한 것이다. 따라서 이들 두 모티프는 뱀태몽담 중에서도 출산경험의 음울한 측면을 적절히 표현한 것이라 본다. 또한 상징의 윤색은 임신과 출산 과정에 있어 남아선호 경향에 긴박된, 여성의 부담감에 기인한다는 점에서 출산경험의 서사화 방식에 포함된다.

I studied on the dream of conception tales in modern society from the point of the narrative method of birth experience centering around the snake dream tales. Finally, the snake motif that it breaks in on her skirt and the snake motif that it hides in strawberry bine are the most appropriate modes of expression to the nature of pregnancy and birth. The former represents the fateful nature, the pain, the sexual shame of pregnancy and birth, and the latter represents the curious aspects and the mental trouble of birth experience. And the embellishing the embryo symbol belong to the narrative method of birth in that it due to her burden in the experience pregnancy and birth, entangled with preference for boys.
