In this study I argue the information structure with the discourse related effects through predicate fronting with doubling in Spanish. I focus on the so-called predicate cleft construction in semantic interpretation and syntactic structure. The predicate fronting is associated with a Topic or contrastive Focus interpretation. And predicate doubling is spelled out with the form of infinitive in left peripheral position and with the inflected verb in clause internal position. I propose that the left dislocation of the predicate should be realized by movement through the copy operation of verbal root introduced for the derivation from lexicon. It is observed crosslinguistic predicate cleft construction with the discourse related effects. Especially, I will also show the comparison of the Spanish and Korean predicate cleft construction for recognizing the verbal topicalization of Korean L2 learners of Spanish.
