The primary purpose of this article is to show that the love in The Silence of The Lover can not be explained as a simple ``farewell→ reunion`` schema. The reunion with lover produces not only pleasure but also unpleasure. Ultimately, this means that the reunion in juissance with lover brings about the aphanisis of subject. In this situation, subject can`t help postponing the reunion in juissance with lover. Because, the delay is the only way to found a subject in himself in the silence of lover. This delay plays a role to construct he/she as a desiring subject. This shows up the subject`s efforts to establish a new relationship with his/her lover. Namely, The narrator in The Silence of The Lover is crossing over the border between ``the way to imagination`` and ``the way to symbolization``. Kim So-wol`s ``the way to imagination`` leads to extreme danger, the erasure of a subject and reality. But, Han Yong-Woon`s ``the way to symbolization`` leads to new world, the birth of a seperated subject.
