이 연구는 대구광역시 수성구를 사례로 선택적 교육인구 이동과 내적분화에 대한 것이다. 1999년부터 2008년까지 초·중·고 학생들의 전·출입 통계 분석 결과 수성구로의 특정 연령대에 선택적인 교육 인구이동이 나타났음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 선택적 교육인구 이동의 원인은 수성구의 상대적으로 교육환경의 차이에 의한 것임이 북구와의 비교 설문조사에서 확인되었다. 그 결과 수성구 내에서는 주택 가격에서 확연히 차이를 보이는 범어 만촌권, 시지권, 지산·범물권 등 상이한 특색을 보이는 지역으로 내적인 분화가 일어나고 있다.

This study explores the selective educational migration and internal segregation of Suseong-Gu, Daegu metropolitan city. This research analyzed students`entry-exit data of Suseong-Gu from 1999 to 2008 to know how active selective population movement has been carried here for better education. The results can be summarized as follows. The findings from the analysis showed that the selective migration was active in Suseong-Gu in terms of age. This study examined the components of educational environments through questionnaire survey and found that there are a great deal of differences between Suseong-Gu and Buk-Gu. Segregation in educational environments existed even within the Suseong-Gu. The differentiation of housing price reflects three different internal residential segregation: Beomeo-manchon, Siji, and Jisan-beomool districts.
