This paper examines functions and grammatical restrictions of connective ending daga in modern Korean. The core function of connective ending daga is transfer, and the contextual functions of connective ending daga are transfer, middle, causation and condition. Grammatical restrictions of connective ending daga are as follows. First, there is no restriction on kinds of predicates that connect -daga. But in many cases, verbs connect -daga. Second, pre-final endings (eu)si- and eoss- can connect daga, although pre-final ending gess- and -deo- cannot connect -daga. Third, negation forms can connect -daga. Fourth, there is no restriction on kinds of predicates in a posterior clause. But in many cases, they are verbs. Fifth, there is no restriction on the mood of sentences. Sixth, there is no restriction on the agreement or disagreement of subject (agent) and predicate (action) in preceding clauses and posterior clauses. But in many cases, agents and actions in preceding clauses and posterior clauses are the same.
