English education in Korea has been focused more on Speaking, Reading, and Listening than Writing. However, nowadays the social need for written communication is also increasing. Therefore, it is necessary to discuss English writing education in the university. The purpose of this study is to design a model of teaching English writing skills according to level based students (high level and basic level students). In this study, first, I will search for realistic and effective models to improve writing skills. Second, this study will suggest how to teach writing to Korean university students of different language proficiency levels. Third, effective writing models as well as teaching and learning plans will be shown.
